Artists from the Diablo team continue their work of fleshing out a boss monster, adding color and detail.#Diablo2#Diablo4#DiabloImmortal#DiabloII#DiabloIV#BlizzCon
Please, give keyboard and mouse support on consoles!
Wow, that's crazy. It will totally change the way i fight The Hive Mother now after 2 hours of seeing how she's been created 🤜🤛
This is such an amazing design and concept! I would absolutely love to see this creature fully realised in the game, just so I could slaw it and stop its evil spread!
I'd be fine with more of a centipede rather than a fat dude with a gut in a tube dress with legs
this was definitely the most interesting and informative of the panel discussions. actually learned a few things. about mirroring the design for defects, squinting, also doing your work quickly and fearlessly, not having to finish everything and being so precious, adding texture, cheating and presentation... almost a whole course here. good stuff (my previous complaint still stands about how little actually 'new' we get to see vs your inspiration from the same comics, books, films we've all seen)!
simply an amazing series, both parts are sooooo inspiring. thanks for doing this for us guys
This was awesome.. i would love to see the process of this drawing, converted into a 3D model.
I am a diablo content maker
I really enjoyed this series, part one and two. As someone who is interested in this kind of work, it is really fascinating and interesting to see and hear a professional talk about their work. Good job Blizzard!
good job. the artwork from diablo was what made it so good for me
Using bones to manipulate a layer is so next level.
Really like the centipede incorporation, "Thanks, I hate it" feels very appropriate. Very insightful and awesome video.
As an art nerd, these vids were super cool to watch, and motivating to get better at art.
This was a lot more insightful than I thought it would be. Would love to see more like it. Great work!
Thank you so much for making these
This is so good to see the work in depth, thnx for this. Hope this makes it into the game would be exiting and terrifying to fight it...
This is a great insight look of what its really like in concept art. very informative. Love to see more of these from Blizzard.
nice art panel, everything is "super important" :> , also Rob is super rude, he keeps interrupting his art director xd
This was great! I would love to see more of these!
Thanks Blizzard for this great work art ! I hope for Diablo IV there will be a compendium book ingame where i can see my crusade progress with art from Diablo universe and a small text to monster and a kill score ^^ and region of sanctuary !
I never thought i would watch 2 hours of painting xD. But you guys really made it interesting the whole time (ep 1 and 2), so again: great work!!!
Do it more! Great job guys
This is awesome!! More please more! ... Maybe put some of this in the quarterly updates as well? :)
well, well, let us bring in a little mmo formfactor into the game, so we have a reason to charge monthly fee, yeah, we are some smart guys, are we not?
я хочу чтобы диабло 4 работала на видеокарте gts 450 4 гб оперативной памяти и i5-2300 процессор - иначе покупать смысла нет! я не гонюсь за графикой. У меня есть средства на игру, но нет денег на новое оборудование...
Very nice, thanks guys. I watched the full two hours, it was good. The finnished product reminds me a bit of Duriel from D2
Dear design team- you are incredibly talented and skilled.. but if you want this thing to rock, think "what would diablo 1/2 do?" This looks like a fantastic alien, or zerg.. but not really diablo. Also, whoever is designing the environment PLEASE get away from that weird dungeon suspended in space thing. It kills the realism and the claustrophobia. It's was cool the the Arcane Sanctuary, but it's really lame elsewhere.
This is basically SC2 zerg art style.
This is very interesting and inspirational. Thank you!
The guy looks like Russel Crowe ... just sayin
Wow, such great talent to think of something like this from scratch. Great work
This is amazing, I really hope the Hive Mother makes it to the end!
At 24:26 the bash has this really cool "maw" effect like it was torn open. Could be a cool idea to translate into a game.
How bout next to the quarterly systems update we also get a monthly concept/design update ^^
Why would anyone dislike this?
more pleaseeee! :D
I would like to see programmers at work too ... not only those who draw, which I obviously like to see anyway, but I would also like to see those who work for blizzard and program something for blizzard games at work ... it would be very interesting for me.
Best artists panel of all time! Felt like I was at the same table with those two awesome professionals.
Every time Rob or John says ,,like" or ,,you know" drink a shot!
i was thinking the exact same thing. I know that they are really passionate about it and that is really awesome and i love that so much, but some variety in the way they phrase things would be great :D cause it does get tediousto listen to after a while.
Looks really cool, and awesome to see how it evolved from the sketch. However once this creature has erected itself, i feel its most vulnerable. I mean she cant reach the floor with her biggest legs to attack, she cant swing her tail about either, because then she would loose balance and collapse.
That's where the feedback comes in
I have to say, I never get tired of seeing what monsters and bosses are created as they always leave a lasting impression. Just one reason why I have been a fan of the series for so long.
what about the music score? wanted to see behind the scenes or interview of that
What comes before concept art? Who is sitting in a roundtable deciding we need monster xyz or in this case a spider boss monster for example and not something else. And how specific can the initial request be like? I´d love to see all the concept art done for Lilith especially.
It would be cool to see more videos like these.
It's beauty-full! I want to dance with her a soon as possible guys! :D Rob U R amazing!
Scrotums aren't gory, bro 🤣🤭
Even as someone who can't draw and who has engineering degree, I found this in-depth behind the scenes art process absolutely fascinating to watch live. Blizzard has some truly incredible artists and Rob is immensely skilled. D4 looking great, literally.
This video was encouraging for me to continue learning drawing!
I don't do any visual arts at all, but I still found this pair of videos super interesting. Rob does an excellent job of explaining what he's doing to someone who knows videogames but not concept art, and John really gives us a good idea of what the larger process is (and seems like a great manager!).
I hope you guys will dive deep in to the lore. The Sin Wars books was epic af.
@Rathma Righteous! You've convinced me. 🙏
@Jordan Allen Yeah, the gist of the story is it's 3000 years before the darkening of Tristam and about the first Nephalems. Also explained how sanctuary started and Lilith's exploits were there, and how Rathma became 'Rathma.' That's is why I was so stoked seeing them brought to life in the cinematics. Try it man it won't disappoint.
So they are written well? I've been wanting to start them.
Really like this ''in depth formula'' Great!
Just awesome. Can’t wait to play IV
Wo ist diablo 4 release date
excellent content !
concept art is really challenging and really awesome!
such great talent
