Diablo 2's servers are full of tens of thousands of bots, and Blizzard's extremely ineffectual anti-bot measures just end up soft-banning normal players on a regular basis, while the bots clog the servers with impunity. Ban wave after ban wave, the botters buy more CD keys and Blizzard profits, while the real players gradually leak away, those who really still want to play just putting up with the irritation of questionably-managed mod servers rather than inflict Blizzard's restrictive service on themselves. I just don't have the ability to feel any hype after a few weeks back on your trash botnet.

It's kind of funny how Diablo 2 remastered looks way more hype than Diablo 4. I find it concerning when things like jumping over cliffs and climbing up walls is being highlighted instead of the actual gameplay, that just shows you they have an empty shell of a game. Are you new to games or something? Top down view is the way for this particular genre that relies on mouse aiming, hordes of enemies and moba sort of mechanics (moba technically took from Diablo type of games actually). Having full view in front of you is the worst thing you can do to the game. It serves 0 purpose. This is a game, not a movie. Even movies don't go for view angles that serve 0 purpose. Don't go blindly for the seemingly popular and high production stuff. It's like telling fighting games to have first person view and guns simply because it's 2021 and FPS games are huge in the AAA market.

Characters that use a bow should include some additional, non-magical, classic pure arrow attacks. Use a saucer for flashy magic skills. If that happens, the characteristics of the specialty will be ambiguous. A strong sense of accomplishment that sticks together ... Deer 3 Run Meet and attack and stab too much

I haven't EVER been so excited for a game in my life. I remember when D2 came out and my best friend got it, and we spent the next 36 hours playing (on and off). I loved the Druid when LoD came out, for obvious reasons, but my main class was Necromancer. Thank you, Blizzard, for everything in the Diablo line. My eyes were not dry in this presentation!

knowing that the old game is still broken to this day and that this is just a graphic filter running on top of the old broken system has me a little worried. so our characters not pathing right is still going to be an issue. breakable door objects in act5 are going to still have their health scale a ridiculous amount? i remember not being able to destroy them on my necromancer.... doors should be made like in diablo 3, 1-2 hits to smash not have an actual scaling health bar

@Hanzo Hattori Well, yeah, because there were minimal differences between classes back then and skills were determined by drops instead of class identity. It's still a revival of an old class. I want a new spin on old ideas. A fallen paladin or a zealot instead of just a paladin with a new class mechanic and altered versions of old skills. Or perhaps a death knight with heavy armor and shields to replace the necro as the tanky class. Or maybe something completely new like the witch doctor and monk were.

The Rogue is effectively a whole new class. The only thing she really has in common with D1 rogue is the ability to switch weapons and even then the way she does that has changed.
